Patterns of anticoagulant adherence for secondary thromboprophylaxis in athletic patients: a single-institution survey study
Hello! You are being asked to take part in a research study, with the purpose of learning more about anticoagulation usage patterns in physically active subjects. This study consists of a short survey that you can complete online using the link at the bottom of this page.
The principal investigator (PI) of this study is Dr. Sven Olson, program director of the section of classical hematology at OHSU. The co-investigator of this study is Leah Esposito, OHSU medical student.
From this study, we hope to learn:
How subjects with a history of a blood clot take their anticoagulant medications
How frequently they miss or omit doses around the time of physical activity
How often they encounter bleeding or recurrent thrombotic episodes
You do not have to join the study. Even if you decide to join now, you can change your mind at any time during the survey or after completion.
This study is unfunded.
All information collected as part of this study will be protected on a secure OHSU server with all information de-identified. Despite this, we acknowledge a small risk of breach of confidentiality.
Thank you for participating!
